Hi everyone,

If you own a ZhiDou D1 (for example, one that came from a former car-sharing fleet - sharengo) and you’re trying to unlock, there are basically two main methods you can use:

🔧 1. Reflashing the BMS
The first option is to reflash the Battery Management System (BMS) using the EV-05 software:

  • You can upload a new firmware program to the BMS through EV-05.
  • You’ll need a USB–CAN adapter (a specific hardware interface).
  • The software sometimes requires running on a system with Chinese language support, which can make setup a bit tricky.
  • Result: after a successful flash, the car becomes fully unlocked and ready to drive. ✅

⚙️ 2. Replacing the GPRS Module
The second method is often simpler and cheaper:

  • Remove the original GPRS/telematics unit – it’s usually connected near the OBD port.
  • Replace it with a plug-and-play replacement unit that automatically sends the “enable” command when you turn the ignition key.
  • Advantage: no software flashing or configuration required — just plug it in, and the car will enter READY mode. ✅
  • Note: make sure the connector is firmly seated and the unit powers up correctly. If it doesn’t receive power, the car will stay locked (no READY indicator). ⚠️

🛠️ Recommendations & Safety Notes
  • After unlocking, it’s highly recommended to replace the door locks and ignition key, since most shared-fleet D1 cars used universal keys.
  • If you plan to use the car privately, consider replacing the original touchscreen tablet/radio with a standard 7″ 2DIN unit — it frees up space and removes potential tracking hardware.

If anyone’s interested, I can share a step-by-step guide with photos showing how to replace the GPRS unit or how to set up the EV-05 flashing environment.

Thanks to this dongle, my ZD exSharengo now is on the road 8-) Many thanks to delevoper. No one in my country could do it. Dongle was shipped quickly, received in couple days. Easy to use, just plug and go. Also, happy with seller communication.
