Hello,
What equipment can be used to perform diagnostics on ZhiDou ?
Thanks in advanced !

ZhiDou diagnostics
Re: ZhiDou diagnostics
Hi Tomas,
Normally, diagnostics for these cars are done with EV-05 software.
Motor controller and BMS data can be read directly via a CAN bus reader; the workshop manual lists the CAN addresses for interpretation.

Re: ZhiDou diagnostics
I have a problem with the airbag, the light on the dashboard does not go out after turning on the ignition.

Re: ZhiDou diagnostics
I haven’t worked with the ABS module yet, so I can’t confirm it from experience.
According to FCAR, the F8S diagnostic tool claims support for ZhiDou D2 vehicles. There’s a feature list here:
http://oss-public.fcar.com/public/car-f ... enfunc.pdf
That said, I haven’t tested it myself and don’t currently have the tool, so I can’t say how complete or reliable the ABS coverage is in practice.
You can check the wiring resistance to the airbag modules with a multimeter, but only with the battery disconnected and after allowing sufficient time for the system capacitors to discharge.
Do not measure resistance directly across an airbag igniter/squib, as this can trigger deployment. Only test the wiring up to the connectors, following the manufacturer’s safety procedures.
