ZhiDou D1 has relatively enough space in the trunk, but I still thought for a long time how to maximize the usable space in the car. After I replaced the radio with a new Android, I found that listening to my favorite music does not give me joy through the speakers in the doors, which ..... have a rather negligible performance, especially when it comes to bass. The mids and highs are sufficient. And then it occurred to me, about 10 years ago I heard about how to save space in the trunk, namely to place a subwoofer under the seat. So I went online and looked for a subwoofer that would fit perfectly under the seat and I found a Vevor 8" 400W model YL-805C. It went in there as if it was there from the factory I made it mounts from 1.5mm sheet metal, drilled holes into the rear protrusions where the seat is attached and cut an M5 or M6 thread there, but it wasn't the happiest solution because the sheet metal there is very thin but the thread was there. Under the front part of the subwoofer I put self-adhesive foam from below which pressed the subwoofer with its own weight and at the same time does not transmit vibrations so the subwoofer is not completely fixed which could contribute to the fact that it doesn't vibrate to death from the road because the spring shock absorbers on the ZhiDou D1 don't dampen many of the bumps in the road Then the more fun part began: pulling cables and solving cable management problems (so that it looked good )

I put a rubber grommet over the plastic so that it would look good and the edge of the plastic wouldn't cut into the cables. I attached the GND, or minus pole of the subwoofer, through a cable eye under the rear screw that holds the left rail of the seat. The cable must exit straight behind the rail, otherwise the eye will block the free movement of the seat in the rear position.

Finally, it was enough to connect +12V to the battery (DO NOT FORGET about a fuse box with at least a 20A fuse to maintain selectivity, since there is a 15A fuse on the subwoofer), I already had my own cable stretched, from the connector to the 12V battery via a 20A fuse to the 12V socket that I installed in the trunk, for the fridge and the 12V compressor for the wheels because the original 12V socket is only protected by a 10A fuse. Next, I connected the REM (Remote control) to the original AMP (Amplifier) ​​output on the radio, so I can turn the subwoofer off and on at any time directly from the Android radio environment. I connected the RCA audio cables to the AUDIO OUT so that the full tonal range was not affected by the equalizer, I did not connect it to the SUB OUT because the amplifier in the subwoofer has its own LOW PASS filter and it was easier to tune the amplifier to play the way I need. Then I just set the equalizer in the radio so that only mid and high tones are heard in the speakers in the doors, the subwoofer provides the bottom.

View of the completed and connected subwoofer under the seat I also wanted to place a fire extinguisher somewhere in the car so that it would always be "at hand" from the driver's seat (I have a fire extinguisher in every car I own for safety and to help others, I don't have naive ideas that if my EV car started to burn from a hard short circuit, I would put it out with this ). I printed a triangular bracket on a 3D printer, which I attached to the car carpet with studs, and screwed the original fire extinguisher bracket onto the printout. It fits perfectly under the seat and does not prevent it from moving freely to the original extreme positions of the seat.
